Favorite movie? Favorite actor, director? Yes, everyone has one. What about your favorite scene?
A regular scene in a movie is around 4-5 mins long. Mostly part of the larger narrative, there a few scenes out there which are good enough to a be a short film themselves. What now I will describe is my favorite scene.
The scene starts with an average looking guy asking for a lift to a wedding he is invited to. He sees a girl leaving the hotel and asks if he can have a drop off. The girl, a beautiful female who is entering her car, agrees to drop him.
Cut to the drive scene. There is a lively pop song playing in the background, the girl is singing along while driving. The guy looks really animated, like a detective smelling some dead blood. He stops the music, and speaks "Do you hear then noise?"
"What noise?" the girl asks.
"The noise when you press your accelerator. It means there is wind in your engine" .
You know what, just see the damn scene rather than me typing out.
The reason this is my favorite scene is because I could be anyone in this scene. The flamboyant, arrogant girl, the mad fans, or the maverick Nikki. It is a movie within a movie. A movieception!! The guitar riff when Nikki speeds up gets me every time!! the smooth accelerator, clutch, gear shift, accelerator scene is brilliantly shot!! The zero modesty in "Usually" is so smooth.!!
